2015 War Entries Published
We’re excited to bring you all the next year in Illypedia’s “15 Years of Illy at War” series: 2015. The glory and defeat, splendor and bitterness, and veterans and casualties of the Great War led to a tremendous change in Illyriad’s geopolitical structure — never again (to this point) would coalitions and power blocs vie for the hegemonic control of the server. Instead, large legacy alliances began to maximize the benefits of building past 10 cities per account to cover more land, boast larger populations, and wield more unilateral power than ever before, diminishing the need for multinational governing bodies.
Rising from the ashes of the Great War also led to a new endeavor headed by two bitter rivals whose mutual respect forged one of the greatest and most powerful partnerships in Illyriad’s history. SirBradly — rebranded as the orc Stukahh and formerly of the utterly defeated Night Crusaders — joined forces with Malek, a key leader of the Grand Alliance, to form SIN. The ranks of SIN were filled with some of the game’s most talented and dedicated warriors, who built up their cities and troop counts clandestinely in the backwaters of Fellandire. 2015 was the year when SIN would finally reveal itself to the server, taking on and defeating much larger alliances in an effort to destabilize the legacy leaders of Elgea and the Broken Lands.
